CLA Continues Strong with the Virginia Poverty Law Center (VPLC)

On July 1, 2025, CLA attorney Emily Connor Kennedy finished her term as the President of the Board of Directors for Virginia Poverty Law Center. Emily will serve an additional year on the VPLC Board as Immediate Past President.

Fellow CLA attorney Drew Sarrett, who served as Vice President of the VPLC Board of Directors in fiscal year 2025, will become President of the Board of Directors.

VPLC is a nonprofit organization committed to breaking down systemic barriers that keep low-income Virginians in the cycle of poverty through advocacy, education, and litigation. CLA has proudly supported VPLC’s mission for many years and is honored to be involved with an organization that helps so many people throughout Virginia.
